You are probably aware that for the
last two and a half years the BPPVE (Bureau for Private Postsecondary and
Vocational Education) has been closed.
Well, I am happy to report that with
the passage of Assembly Bill 48 a new Bureau BPPE ( Bureau for Private
Postsecondary Education) is being established in its place.
For schools without previous
approval, that opened during the last two and half years, this is an opportunity
to apply for State approval for their institutions.
For schools that were approved, it
is now their chance to have their status updated.
You should review the Bureau website
at www.bppe.ca.gov thoroughly and download
AB 48 for the latest regulations on postsecondary schools in California.
